Inclusive Transport (budget 8,000 Euro) part of the funding program for
Civil Society Organizations within the Project “SOCIETIES 2
Support of civil society organizations in strengthening technical skills, inclusion of persons with disabilities and EU standards in the Balkans Western, second phase”, financed by the Commission of the European Union.
The Societies 2 project is implemented by Caritas Serbia (Serbia), Civic Initiative (Serbia), Caritas Albanian (Albania), Project “Shpresa” (Albania), Caritas Bosnia-Herzegovina (Bosnia-Herzegovina), Cheerful Laugh (Caritas Bosnia-Herzegovina), Caritas Kosova (Kosovo), Center for Independent Living (Kosovo), Caritas of Montenegro (Montenegro), Association of Paraplegics Tivar (Montenegro), Caritas Italiana (Italy) and Caritas Bulgaria (Bulgaria).
Main Objective:
Improving the quality of life for people with disabilities and their families in the city of Tirana by increasing awareness of general public,
advocating, providing support services to complete the uninterrupted chain of their movement through inclusive transportation as well as improving the provision of services to them through cooperation with all the decision-making instances and partners (central and local authorities, businesses, etc.)
Target group:
20 families with relatives with disabilities in the Municipality of Tirana;
the community in general in the citiy; institutions that provide services & their employees (specialists of defense units, social administrators), representatives of the central government, etc.
Expected results:
The population of Tirana is more informed
and aware of the importance of free movement of persons with disabilities, inclusive transportation and independent living as a fundamental right;
At least 20 families
with persons with CA more informed and aware of the importance of free movement of persons with disabilities and inclusive transportation;
20 individuals with CA (10 boys, 10 girls)
will be enabled a better moving and use of support services;
Cooperation agreement
between the organization and the Municipality of Tirana;
Cooperation agreement
between the organization and the University of Tirana;
Etc.
